Are we dead yet?
Wed, 10/09/2008 - 18:28 — Chris CharabarukThe Large Hadron Collider has been switched on. So, are we dead now, and the universe exploded? Check this site for the answer. And check back often, in case you’re not sure.
I for one welcome our new robo-spider overlords.

Gizmodo reports and shows us a gigantic, 50 foot robotic spider posed to strike Liverpool, UK at the end of the week. It won’t be long before its compatriots arrive here on Earth, and commence attacks against other targets around the world. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the spiders will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new robo-spider overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted blogger, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil on their fibre optic webs.
I wonder what brave soul ventured close enough to the spider to interview it and get that prospective date of attack. He or she must be very brave.
A textual starving cow simulator
Thu, 31/07/2008 - 13:23 — Chris CharabarukBecause I was bored and going crazy, I quickly whipped up a program that simulates a bunch of plants being munched on by animals. If I decide to keep working on it, I need to implement better path finding and logic, as well as a few ideas you might glean from certain things in the code.
This isn't even alpha-level code, this is braindead coding at it's best. Player beware.
I give you... DrupliBacon!

Hilarity in a Cave
Fri, 28/12/2007 - 13:01 — Chris CharabarukOn Boxing Day, as is tradition, I went downtown with my brothers to gawk at the goods on sale (and pick up a few at discount, generally at World's Biggest Bookstore and my favourite Toronto merchant, The Hairy Tarantula). This year I brought back with me an interesting book by Jim C. Hines called Goblin Quest.
This novel is amazing.
