Lessons for the next version of Alarm Clock
Fri, 21/09/2007 - 13:49 — Chris CharabarukDespite not being able to get any work done on Alarm Clock at the given time, I have been continuing to think about what work remains incomplete, and how best to accomplish it. Here's two of those insights...

0.7.1 will take longer
Tue, 03/04/2007 - 16:05 — Chris CharabarukSorry, but I still haven't gotten the problem figured out. If anyone reading this has experience with Windows Installer and/or WiX, I'd love to hear from you!

Installer problems with Alarm Clock; 0.7.1 in the pipeline
Mon, 02/04/2007 - 15:53 — Chris CharabarukWith Alarm Clock 0.7.0 there were some changes made to the Windows Installer package which have lead to the disappearance of the desktop and Start Menu shortcuts for the program. I'm currently working on the problem and with any luck, 0.7.1 should be available tomorrow with the installer problem ironed out. There won't be any code changes for the new version, it'll simply be fixing the installer package. Sorry folks!

Alarm Clock 0.6.0, Website Problems
Fri, 16/02/2007 - 16:36 — Chris CharabarukI've just released Alarm Clock 0.6.0, which fixes up most of the regressions created by rewriting the entire thing in C#. As well, there's now the ability to control the radio volume and shuffle the playlist. I'm still working out a few kinks with the installer, but at this time it's more or less feature complete. Now it's time to write some user documentation (if it's really required), add some polish, and fix any pesky bugs that still pop up.
Alarm Clock 0.5.0 released
Sun, 11/02/2007 - 16:47 — Chris CharabarukI've just released version 0.5.0 of Alarm Clock. With this new version, radio functionality has been added, via Windows Media Player playlists. (Mono users will need to have Windows Media Player 9 working under WINE or else it won't run for them. Windows users don't have to worry.) Other changes include a few to the user interface, such as "Set Sound" being moved to the Options dialog, and the on/off button being replaced with something a little more intuitive (I hope).
Alarm Clock update
Thu, 08/02/2007 - 15:14 — Chris CharabarukAlarm Clock 0.5 is coming along slowly but surely. I've been held up by a lack of a dial/knob control for the UI, but I've been playing around quite a bit with the Windows Media Player SDK and making decent enough progress towards adding the "radio" functionality.

cIRCulation and Alarm Clock now available for download
Sat, 23/12/2006 - 16:20 — Chris CharabarukIt's taken a while, but I've finally gotten some of my projects up on the site.
I've made Alarm Clock 0.2.0 available for download from this site now. Previously it was only available at the old website, but now it's here as well. I'll probably be releasing 0.5.0 some time soon (versions 0.3.0 and 0.4.x are private releases), and by 0.6.x the "radio" functionality should be added.
