Here's another reason to drop Rogers as a service provider, if you haven't already

Although I'm hearing about it a bit late, I just read on Michael Geist's blog that Rogers is intercepting bad DNS hits so to earn more ad revenue and pretty much break your internet. They offer an "opt-out" for people who don't want their ad-pasted error page, which doesn't really opt you out; it just sends an error page that looks like Internet Explorer's default error page. Never mind applications that rely on getting a proper DNS response to missing domain names.

If you're a Rogers customer, call in to complain. Better yet, change your service provider. If you're technically apt, perhaps use Open DNS until you switch. Just don't let Rogers get away with this crap.
