More Drupal annoyances
For some reason, Drupal hates me. And I don't know why.
This time, the problem was with Links Package – without cause or reason it decided to change a number of the links on my links page to different URLs already on the page. It did this to more than half of them. I've since changed the URLs back to what they should be, but it's just bizarre that this would happen in the first place!
There are two other things annoying me as well. First (and this might just be an issue on my end, though I doubt it) there aren't any pretty icons for the service links at the bottom of each post (those links for del.icio.us, etc.) despite that there are the appropriate image tags in the HTML, and that hitting the image URLs directly brings them up.
The other might be a CSS issue, but if you check out the site's front page you might notice that the pager looks odd – the bottom border of the page links are missing, although that doesn't happen on other pages with a pager.
On the upside, I've finally done something I've wanted to do for a long time. Every blog post on the front page is now the entire post! And all it took was a small modification to the Trackback module, so that it wouldn't print its visible trackback info for every single node rendered in the front page's view. Woot!

Re: More Drupal annoyances
And suddenly the service link icons appear, albeit only once. WTF?!
Re: More Drupal annoyances
I gave up on hosting things locally on my site and started hosting them on external services (Delicious, Flickr, LastFM, etc). I found some random scripts out there to help in the aggregation of them. Quite handy!
Maintaining my own site was too much work, now I'm just using Drupal core and OpenID URL :-P .
