Weekly updates suck, don't they?
For those of you who actually read this blog, my profuse apologies for my horrible lack of posting over the last month. While some of you might think it has to do with my novel for NaNoWriMo, the truth is that many things have been getting in the way. If it were just my NaNoWriMo entry, I'm sure that my wordcount would be much higher than it is right now.
NaNoWriMo and the blog aren't even the only writing I'm working on at the moment, either. Tuesday brings along my first advanced level speech at Toast IT, and I'm supposed to have enough material for eight to ten minutes. I have my topic picked out and everything, but making sure it's long enough...
But enough complaining. I finally got my passport this week, and despite the picture looking like a mugshot (isn't that the way of all government issue photo ID?) it's really nice to finally have a passport. I can't wait to get to put it to use. Not that Canada's a horrible place or anything, but it's nice to have the ability to stretch one's legs now and again (not in the sense I usually do, that is). Gets me one step closer to going to GDC one of these years, probably in 2012 (just after this passport expires).
Well, I've got some 3025 words to write for NaNoWriMo today (and every day to the end of the month), several minutes of speech to compose, and who knows what else will end up in my way. Better get cracking!
