Visual Studio 2008 available sooner than expected

Hot on the heels of VS2008's launch date (Feb 27, 2008) comes news that the next version of Visual Studio will still ship by the end of the year.

Given that we're already hearing about the next XNA Game Studio release, it's looking that this winter will be quite an eventful time for Microsoft and people who create software for the Windows platforms.

I'm looking forward to Visual Studio 2008; along with it is the next version of the .NET Framework, including C# 3.0 which introduces the LINQ technology and lambda functions.
