Alarm Clock update
Alarm Clock 0.5 is coming along slowly but surely. I've been held up by a lack of a dial/knob control for the UI, but I've been playing around quite a bit with the Windows Media Player SDK and making decent enough progress towards adding the "radio" functionality.
For music to soothe the savage beast in you, or to provide a more comfortable wakeup than the annoying alarm beeping, you'll need to create a WMP playlist (a WPL file, details here) to contain all the music you want. Alarm Clock checks for all of the playlists registered in WMP and also allows you to add your own playlist in case the one you want to use isn't listed.
Right now it looks like you'll need to have WMP 9 or later to use Alarm Clock. Before 1.0 I'll work out the functionality of the "radio" into a second assembly so that people on systems without WMP (such as Mono users on Linux) will still be able to use the basic alarm clock functionality. (In any case, you will need WINE to run on platforms other than Windows, as PlaySound() is used to play the alarm sound.)
