About Chris Charabaruk
Chris Charabaruk is a computer programmer with many years of development experience with games and open source projects. Chris grew up writing code on a Commodore 64, and later on branched into C++ and C# development.
In 2005, Chris co-founded the Toronto Independent Games Conference, with the aims to promote Toronto as a place of interest in the games industry and to provide networking and educational opportunities for other developers. Since then, Chris has also been one of the coordinators of the "Indie" SIG of the International Game Developers Association.
Outside of the games industry, Chris is a strong public speaker, thanks to his participation in Toastmasters International – specifically, the current vice-president education (and immediate past president) of Toronto's own Toast IT club, and looking forward to future opportunities with Toastmasters International, itself.
Chris is interested in participating in small to medium teams as a programmer, and looks forward to strengthen his project management and game design talents. He is an avid gamer, and is always on the lookout for startups and indie studios in the game development industry.
